About SCHOLARSHIPS
SCHOLARSHIPS is Georgia's statewide educational assistance program for early care and education professionals pursuing credentials or degrees in early childhood education or child development. It is funded by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL) through the federal Child Care and Development Fund, and is designed to increase the number of well-qualified and credentialed professionals in early care and education in Georgia. 

About CDA Scholarships

Application Fees
SCHOLARSHIPS supports the achievement of the CDA Credential by paying the Council for Professional Recognition's $425 CDA application fee ($400 is sent directly to the Council and $25 is reimbursed when the CDA is earned) and providing a $100 support stipend to approved applicants.

Bilingual
The Bilingual CDA SCHOLARSHIPS supports the achievement of the CDA Credential by paying a maximum of $750 for a Bright from the Start state-approved 120 clock-hour CDA Coursework conducted in another language besides English.  Once the 120 clock-hour training is complete, recipients can apply for the CDA Application Fee SCHOLARSHIPS program which covers the Council for Professional Recognition's $425 CDA application fee ($400 is sent directly to the Council and $25 is reimbursed when the CDA is earned) and providing a $100 support stipend to approved applicants.

Pathways - High School
The CDA Pathways SCHOLARSHIPS supports students going through the CTAE Early Childhood Care and Education Pathway.

About Academic Scholarships

Academic
Tuition Assistance
SCHOLARSHIPS for academic credit provides tuition assistance and a support stipend to approved applicants who are pursuing the following credentials or degrees in early childhood education, child development, or child care administration:
  • Technical Certificate of Credit
  • Technical College Diploma
  • Associate of Applied Science Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Master's Degree
Academic Infant/Toddler Care
Specialist TCC
The Infant/Toddler Care Technical Certificate of Credit SCHOLARSHIPS program provides tuition assistance and a support stipend to approved applicants who are pursuing an Infant/Toddler Care Specialist TCC.  In addition, the program offers employers a substitute stipend so the student can take paid time off to attend class or study.
